In the dizzying rock of the high Alps, the ibex is completely in its element. Even from a distance, it can be recognized by its imposing forehead weapon, which seems to have been created by an artist's hand.

Our engravers have taken nature as their model and put all their talent into creating a vivid likeness, one that any nature lover will delight in. - All in gold.

The side of the coin shows an ibex in profile. In the foreground gentian and edelweiss decorate the motif.

The other side shows an ibex with a young animal in the middle of a steep rock face. In the lower left area of the coin, if you look closely, you can see a marmot.
