Gold price development and current rate

Ein Goldchart zeigt Ihnen den aktuellen Goldpreis in Euro und die Goldpreisentwicklung im zeitlichen Verlauf pro Kilogramm bzw. pro Unze (1oz = 1 Feinunze). Dieser Goldspot spiegelt den Preis am internationalen Goldmarkt wider. Galt früher der Londoner Gold Fix als Grundlage für den Goldhandel, ist es aufgrund der hohen Volatilität der Goldpreisentwicklung, bei Händlern heute üblich, sich an einem sekündlich-aktuellen Goldspot zu orientieren, der dem aktuellen Börsenpreis des Edelmetalls entspricht. Gold wird am Weltmarkt in Dollar gehandelt (XAU/USD), weshalb spielt für den Goldpreis bei usn auch der Wechselkurs zwischen Dollar und Euro eine Rolle spielt. Bei einem schwachen Euro wird Gold im Euroraum teurer, ein starker Euro senkt den Preis für Gold in Deutschland und Österreich.

If you want to buy gold in Austria or sell gold in the form of investment gold (gold coins & bars) or scrap gold(gold jewelry, dental gold,...), prices of dealers are based on this general rate of the gold price.

However, even current prices for gold coins, gold bars and scrap gold differ both in gold buying and selling, because in addition to the gold rate, production and manufacturing costs, as well as melting and recycling costs must be included in the prices.

The London World Market Price

Während Gold-Derivate, Futures & Optionen (Papiergold) vor allem in New York und Tokio gehandelt werden, wird physisches Gold an den Goldmärkten in London, Hongkong und Zürich gehandelt.

The largest market place is without doubt London, where the world market price for gold - in US dollars / ounce - is determined daily at the London Bullion Market. According to old tradition, London Goldfix was negotiated twice a day by 5 big banks of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). In the spring of 2015, the London Goldfixing was replaced by the "LBMA Gold Price". Since then, the price is no longer negotiated in a conference call, but determined by 15 participating major banks via an electronic auction platform.

However, the LBMA gold fix continues to be set 2x daily:

AM Fix: LBMA Goldpreis am Vormittag um 10:30 Uhr (GMT)
PM Fix: LBMA Goldpreis am Nachmittag um 15:00 Uhr (GMT)

Als Tagespreis für Gold kann der Preis beim Goldfixing am Nachmittag (PM-Fix) gewertet werden, da dieser auch von Notenbanken genutzt wird, um die Goldreserven zu bewerten.
