Gold price calculator

Would you like to know what your gold pieces are worth at the current gold price?

The price of your pieces is calculated from 3 factors: Fineness, weight and the current gold price. With our practical gold calculator, you can easily calculate the current value of your gold pieces.

In 3 simple steps, you can find out immediately how much money you can currently sell your gold for.

Gold 18 carat hallmark

1. determine fineness

With jewelry, you should look for the gold stamp, the so-called "hallmark". This can be found on the inside of rings and usually on the clasp of necklaces. Earrings or ear studs have the hallmark on the ear nut. The hallmark can also be found on the inside of watches. This hallmark indicates the actual gold content in parts per thousand (e.g. 585) or carat (e.g. 14K) of your piece of jewelry.

2. weighing

In addition to the fineness, the weight is decisive. You can easily determine this with a digital kitchen or letter scale: Use these to weigh your pieces, and you should expect a deviation of up to 1 gram.

Weigh pieces with different thicknesses separately.

3. have the purchase price calculated

Simply add your old gold pieces, i.e. jewelry, dental gold, watches, silverware,... with the appropriate alloy and the recorded weight in grams to our gold price calculator. You can add investment products, i.e. coins and bars, directly from our database.

The calculated purchase prices are always up to date and are based on the live gold price on the world market (spot price). If you would like to sell your items, you can click directly on "Sell" or, of course, visit one of our branches in person at Vienna :
