The following points have an influence on the price of a watch
In addition to the make and model of the watch, the optical and technical condition has a major influence on the purchase price. Is the watch undamaged and fully functional or does it need servicing or repairs? Are there signs of wear, does the watch have scratches or other signs of use?
As far as possible, our experts at Branch will check the watch for these points. For more expensive watches, however, we have the watch checked by an external watchmaker.
The price we pay when buying brand watches also depends on the completeness of the watch: Do you have the packaging, box, case, any tags, labels or other accessories with which the watch was delivered as new? The more complete your watch is, the higher the resale value and therefore the purchase price.
It is also important to check whether you are in possession of the appropriate certificate for the watch. Do you have the original invoice, customs documents (if purchased outside the EU) or other papers? The more clearly the origin is documented, the better.
