Angel of Revelation

The second 10 euro coin of the series is dedicated to the mighty archangel Gabriel (from the Hebrew Gavri-El: "God is my strength!"). In the Old Testament, Gabriel appears as a deputy angel, in the New as the messenger of good tidings, who not least revealed to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a child.

Gabriel (Ğibrīl) also appears in the Koran, where he is considered the gatekeeper of heaven and the angel of revelation who mediates between God and man. The coin "Gabriel - the Angel of Annunciation" is supposed to serve as a talisman, which allows its owner to make the right decisions and find surprising solutions. The value side of the coin is decorated with a lily, the symbol with which Gabriel is associated in art and the initial "G". The whole is framed by leaf ornaments, which are highlighted in orange in the minting variant "polished plate". On the obverse of the coin is the image of Gabriel, depicted as a young man with wings of peacock feathers and his hand raised in greeting.
