Angel of Revelation

The second 10 euro coin in the series is dedicated to the mighty archangel Gabriel (from the Hebrew Gavri-El: "God is my strength!"). In the Old Testament, Gabriel appears as an angel of interpretation, in the New Testament as an angel of proclamation, i.e. the bearer of good tidings, who not least revealed to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a child.

Gabriel (Ğibrīl) also appears in the Qur'an, where he is regarded as the gatekeeper of heaven and the angel of revelation who mediates between God and man. The coin "Gabriel - the Angel of Annunciation" is intended to serve as a talisman that helps its owner make the right decisions and find surprising solutions. The value side of the coin is adorned with a lily, the symbol with which Gabriel is associated in art, and the initial "G". The whole is framed by leaf ornaments, which are highlighted in orange in the "proof" minting version. On the obverse of the coin is the image of Gabriel, depicted as a young man with wings made of peacock feathers and his hand raised in greeting.
