Wildlife series

Copied from nature and embossed in gold: the portrait of the mallard, a beautiful phenomenon, a wild animal that does not shy away from the proximity of man. - Always busy in search of food, the mallard waddles and wades around, flies, swims and digs - and we love to watch it do all that.

The side of the coin shows a swimming drake. In the foreground, reeds, a water lily and the ornament typical of the series complete the picture.

The other side shows a mallard family. A drake stands on the right, somewhat hidden by reeds, on a bank. Just behind it swim a mother duck and two chicks. In the left background, reeds grow out of the water. Behind them, the shoreline of the other side of the lake can be seen. In the upper coin area another two mallards are flying.
