Generations of adults have the fondest memories of it. It is still hugely popular in children's circles today: "Das kleine Ich bin ich" was published in 1972. Mira Lobe wrote the book and Susi Weigel provided the idea and drawings.

The little me is me, a fantasy animal sewn together from scraps of fabric and wool, has ears like a dachshund, fringes like a pony and legs like a hippopotamus. It resembles many animals and yet doesn't really belong anywhere. When it realizes this, it asks the question: Who am I? It sets off in search of an answer.

This coin is recommended for anyone who carries the memory of the booklet in their heart. And to anyone who wants to put it close to their child's heart. Its cheerful message is the same as that of the book: You are you!

The coin design

Figures from the classic children's book by Lobe and Weigel are arranged like a collage, with the little I am me at the center. The aim was to get as close as possible to the original drawings.
