Platinum coins as an investment precious metal

In contrast to gold, platinum is not exempt from VAT in Austria, which means that VAT must be paid on the purchase of platinum coins.

However, as with other coins subject to VAT, it is possible to purchase platinum coins for which full VAT has already been paid and thus save part of the 20% VAT on a regular basis.
