This Austrian commemorative coin commemorates the Congress of Vienna and comes from the 996-1996 millennium series. It is part of a special commemorative coin program that was completed on the occasion of Austria's millennium celebrations in 1996. An accompanying certificate guarantees the authenticity of the coin struck in proof quality, and the gold shilling is also recognized as legal tender in Austria.
