An ode to the Hohe Tauern

The Hohe Tauern: a treasure to be preserved and discovered in its diversity: friendly valleys and dark hollows, gentle grassy knolls, moors, groves of mountain lakes, glistening glaciers, vertical rock faces and narrow ridges, finally peaks that are never climbed and those that are climbed by many. Such as the famous Grossglockner, 3,798 meters high, one of the landmarks of Austria.

The Tauern offer many different habitats, which accordingly allow many creatures to exist: 10,000 animal and 3,500 plant species.
