Zum Ankaufsformular
This special collector's coin is dedicated to the Australian emu, which is one of the best-known animals from Australia alongside the kangaroo and the kookaburra bird. The design side of the Emu gold coin shows annually changing depictions of great emus and the mintmark "P" for the Perth Mint next to it.
The greater emu is a flightless ratite native to Australia. The smaller species became extinct in the 19th century. With a height of up to 190 cm and a weight of up to 45 kg, the greater emu is the largest and heaviest ratite in Australia. The name of the coin is engraved at the top of the design. The year of issue and the most important specifications are shown at the bottom. The value side of the Emu gold coin shows Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
