Today, Scheideanstalt is one of Europe's leading companies in the field of precious metal recycling. The precious metals recovered from old jewelry, scrap, bulk material or dross are subsequently processed into gold bars for investors on the one hand, and into semi-finished products and starting materials for industry and medical and dental technology on the other.
C.HAFNER's fine gold bars are made of 100% recycled scrap gold ("secondary gold"), which makes them ecologically and ethically harmless. In the meantime, the company has switched the entire gold extraction process to CO₂-neutral production, so that truly sustainable gold can be offered.
In addition, C.HAFNER is one of 6 German companies to have the Good Delivery status of the London Bullion Market Association, so that all gold bars are LBMA certified.
C.Hafner gold bars are available in common denominations between 1g and 1000g, with bars of 1 ounce, 50g and 100g available both as embossed bars and as cast bars. Gold bars under 1 ounce are available exclusively as embossed bars, bars over 100g are available exclusively as cast bars.
C.Hafner gold bars are issued shrink-wrapped in "CertiCard" packaging with an integrated certificate, which additionally confirms the purity and authenticity of the bar.
C.Hafner ingots, apart from the packaging, are the only ingots in the world with a surface structure that makes any unnoticed subsequent manipulation easily detectable. The matte surface or the grooved surface can -once violated- not possibly be restored invisibly afterwards.
