The value side:
The blue color of the niobium core shows a satellite view of Hall, which was granted city rights 700 years ago. This anniversary was chosen by the Austrian Mint to use the combination of silver and niobium for the first time. Niobium was first discovered as a metal in 1801 and has since been used primarily in space travel.
The picture side:
In 1486, the first taler, the Guldiner, was minted in Hall in Tyrol, a milestone in the history of coinage. The Guldiner is also depicted in the blue niobium core. It is mirrored and negative to give the impression of a stamp.
