Noah's Ark | 1000 grams | 2019 | taxed by difference

The Leipzig-based precious metal processing company LEV (Geiger Edelmetalle) has been producing silver bullion coins with the Noah's Ark motif since 2011. These used to be minted in Germany, but are now minted in Switzerland.

The coin is made of 999 fine silver and is legal tender in Armenia with the respective face value stamped on it. In addition to the face value, the coin's weight, the Armenian coat of arms and the inscription "REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA" are also shown on the payment side. The obverse of each coin shows the relief of Noah's Ark, which gives the coin its name.

The reverse depicts Noah's ark from the Bible. There is also a dove, which Noah sent out after the Flood, returning with an olive branch. The mountain of Armenia with Mount Ararat can be seen in the background. A dove is depicted in the foreground, symbolizing peace, hope and life. The English name of the coin "Noah's Ark" and its Armenian translation can also be seen.
